Healing
Spiritual Healing is a natural energy therapy which may be used safely alongside conventional medicine and other therapies. The purpose of healing is to bring the body, mind and spirit into harmony and allow the body's own natural healing process to function, so creating wholeness and a restoration to health. It can be given for any illness or injury and is particularly good for relieving stress. Penny Brohn Cancer Care centre (formerly the Bristol Cancer Help Centre) recommends it as the primary alternative therapy in the fight against cancer. Both physical and psychological problems may well respond to it. Healing may not always cure an illness, but it often alleviates pain, puts problems into perspective. and improves the quality of life. There is always some benefit from receiving spiritual healing: it may be a change in one's attitude of mind to the presented problem; it may bring an ability to cope; or it may bring the greatest gift of all, peace of mind.
A healing session can be given while the person is lying down or sitting whichever is preferred. Before the first session a brief discussion takes place regarding what needs healing and any relevant medical history is noted. Typically the first session takes one hour and subsequent sessions half an hour. However if a longer period is needed or requested that can be accommodated. Once healing commences I ask the person to relax and go into a quiet space while I move around the body giving healing. Particular attention is given to areas which are out of balance and I will then focus on the remainder of the body and so bring the whole into balance. In this way the whole person is treated including the aura, chakras and energy centres. Sometimes I lay hands on these areas and sometimes I work a few inches away from the body and after healing most people report feeling calmer and stronger. Some also experience a pleasant sensation during the healing. A combination of healing and homoeopathy can be very powerful.

Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy is a gentle, natural and effective therapy which uses remedies, powders and liquid drops. Rather than dealing with symptoms alone, I look at the whole person by discussing where imbalance may occur on any level of the mind, body and spirit. In this way homoeopathy is a holistic therapy and works with the mental/emotional level as well as the physical. In the homoeopathic consultation, symptoms are seen as the body’s way of alerting us to a problem, and by assessing these and looking at the cause we can help the body to balance itself and so bring about harmony and health. In this way most medical conditions can be included in the homoeopathic consultation, and whilst a ‘cure’ can never be promised most patients benefit from the experience and report a greater feeling of well-being.
Because we use natural remedies it is safe and very effective for all members of the family including women during pregnancy. As the source of the remedies are from the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms and are produced energetically they are non-addictive and non-toxic. Homoeopathy is safe to use alongside conventional medicine. A homoeopathic consultation is based on two levels: constitutionally and acutely. With constitutional treatment time is taken with each patient to assess the remedies required and this allows for an bespoke consultation to give the patient the best chance to improve their health. The first appointment for an adult (15 years and over) usually takes two hours to allow the time for me to build up a picture of the patients’ medical history, life story, circumstances, and family medical history and so find a homoeopathically prepared substance which matches this picture. A one hour follow-up appointment is made for a month later when together we monitor the remedy action and discuss progress. Generally the follow up appointments are monthly, and support is available if required in between appointments. For adults the first consultation is £75 and follow up appointments are £50. These prices include medication.
Babies and children tend to respond very well to homoeopathic treatment and their first consultation is an hour and a half during which time pregnancy, birth and developmental milestones are included into the picture. Charges for children under 15 are £55 with follow ups lasting half an hour for £30. There are family rates if more than one member of the family attends for homoeopathic treatment.
I am also available to consult on acute medical issues which tend to be self limiting and which are part of any healing journey. These often occur outside of clinical hours so I provide an emergency service for registered clients if they wish to receive homoeopathic remedies for these acute conditions.
